Stojanovic: If the OHR leaves this Situation, it will completely discredit itself

The Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), Igor Stojanovic, said after the session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament that, if the Office of the High Representative (OHR) leaves this situation in the FBiH, it will completely discredit itself for all subsequent interventions.

“We have a majority in the three Caucuses if Schmidt had not reacted. To leave us in this situation, and to tell everyone that they unblocked us, is a discredit to the international community and the OHR,” said Stojanovic.

He points out that during the conversation two days ago when FBiH Vice President Refik Lendo tried to explain to High Representative Christian Schmidt that SDA had the most votes, the High Representative gave him an example from Germany when Helmut Kohl and his party had 48.5 percent of the votes in the elections, and in the end, he remained in the opposition.

“This is the answer to Lendo from my side as well, that the number of votes in the elections does not mean power, but 51 percent in Parliament, which will follow the future government, prime minister, and ministers. Without that majority, you do not exist as a government or a majority, there are no laws that bring us closer to the European Union (EU) or that improve life in BiH, and that is why I call on Gratz, DF, and SDA, to bring new signatures of the parliamentary majority and unblock the process, or not hinder us from what we have presented to the public several times in both houses,” Stojanovic concluded.
