Image that saddened the World: Anniversary of Death of Nermin Divović (7) today

Nermin Divović Anniversary nap.baOpening of the memorial for the killed boy during the siege of Sarajevo, organized by AntiDayton Group, will be held today at 12 a.m. in front of the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo.

Nermin Divović was killed by a sniper shot from the aggressor position in the Metalka building when he was only seven years old, while his mother was severely wounded with the same shot. Nermin was killed on November 18, 1994 by a sniper shot at the pedestrian crossing between the National Museum and the Faculty of Philosophy. Photo of the killed Nermin went around the world.

The opening will be attended by the students of the Primary School Fatima Gunić from Sarajevo and many citizens of Sarajevo. Flowers will be laid on the occasion of the killing of Nermin Divović.
