Gallery of Contemporary Art ”JAVA” invites everyone to the opening of a new art gallery under the title ” Imate li Begovića u primaćoj?” by the author Nedžad Begović. The arts exhibition will be opened on Thursday, the 20th December, at 19:00 p.m.
The author of the exhibition does not need much introduction. It will suffice to say that he is an artist that had worked as a director and screen writer on many documentary, short and feature films as well as on animations and TV series. The author of this exhibition is also known for his numerous awards, such as for the gold medal for the best animated film in Belgrade, 1985.
During the war, he was an active member of the film project ” SA-LIFE” with which he and his other colleagues received the award of the European Film Academy ” FELIX”. Nedžad’s film ” Sasvim lično” had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
In 2012, he also finished his first feature film called ” Jasmina”, while his short film called ” Mobitel” won the ” Srce Sarajeva” award for the best documentary film at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2011.
” The project “Imate li Begovića u primaćoj?” presents a conceptual game of the author in times of recession. All forms of support for art have faded away, and all financial support is hard to get. Generally it is about the relationship of past times of wealth and well fare with the current global crisis”- said Begović
The arts exhibition will be open for visitors till the end of December.
