Representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), who are on a several day visit to B&H, will hold today a meeting with representatives of the Association of microcredit organizations in B&H (AMFI).
During the first visit as part of the stand-by arrangement in September of this year, IMF representatives got to know the situation of the microcredit sector in our country, its contribution to the overall socio-economic recovery and development of B&H in reducing poverty and unemployment.
Also, cooperation with local and international institutions and initiatives were pointed out, in order to contribute to improving the quality of labor stndards and development of the B&H microcredit sector.
At today’s meeting, they will speak about the stability of the sector and further prospects.
The IMF Mission, among other things, has an active role in state and regional microfinance sector and promotes an active role of members of the Association of Economic Development of B&H and Southeast Europe, whose goal is to reduce poverty.
