Press 1509 Tuzla (1)“International business-information academy“ Tuzla (Visoka škola “Internacionalna poslovno-informaciona akademija” Tuzla – IPI Academy) started the implementation of the project “Improvement of Business Competitiveness of Women Entrepreneurs through E-Business”. The project is financed by the US Embassy. On this occasion, director of IPI Academy Damir Bećirović and project coordinator Anida Zahirović Suhonjić yesterday held the press conference about the project.

The project will last ten months and will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase of the project there will be organized educations and workshops about e-business, e-business models and tools, as well as the benefits and challenges of e-business. There will be five educations across the country: Tuzla, Sarajavo, Banja Luka, Doboj and Brčko. We expect at least 50 women entrepreneurs to attend educations/workshops. The goal of the education is that women entrepreneurs gain knowledge about the basic steps of implementation of e-business and the opportunities provided by this way of doing business. All participants in the project will be provided with the handbook of e-business, which is created by the project team of experienced professionals and teachers of IPI Academy Tuzla.

In the second phase of the project, the 10 companies owned and/or managed by women will be selected and each company will have mentors for implementing and improving e-business. Mentors will estimate whether companies are already using e-business in their daily business activities and processes and how can they improve it, and they will also implement simple e-business tools to improve business activities of these 10 companies. The companies will be provided with a short-term, medium-term and long-term action plan that will ensure the further development of business through the application of e-business.
