In August, 193,960 Tourists were registered in the Federation of BiH

193,960 tourists were registered in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in August, which is 11.3 percent more compared to the same month last year, and 0.6 percent more than the previous month, according to the data of the FBiH Bureau of Statistics.

Tourists spent 419,260 overnight stays in August, which is 3.8 percent more than last August, and 3.4 percent more than July.

The participation of domestic tourists in the total number of visits is 19.6 percent, and foreign tourists 80.4 percent, while the participation of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays is 20.8 percent, and foreign tourists 79.2 percent.

In the structure of overnight stays by foreign tourists, the most were tourists from Saudi Arabia – 14.9 percent, followed by tourists from Turkey 10.7 percent, Croatia 6.4 percent, Kuwait 5.1 percent, and Germany 5 percent, while tourists from other countries achieved 57.9 percent of overnight stays.

According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was in hotels and similar accommodation with a participation of 93.1 percent.

The number of available beds in August was 34,174, which is 6.3 percent more than in the same month last year, while the net utilization rate of beds in hotels and similar accommodation in the territory of FBiH was 43.9 percent.
