From January to September 2021, 7.183 more people passed away in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) than in the same period last year, according to the State Statistics Agency.
During the first nine months of 2021, 35.108 people died, and in the same period last year, 27.925, which is an increase in the number of deaths by 25.72 percent.
In the same period, 18.733 live births were registered, which compared to the same period in 2020 shows a decrease in the number of live births by 3.33 percent.
From January to September 2021, 9.601 male and 9.132 female children were born in BiH, and compared to the same period last year, the number of live births decreased by 645.
