Increase in Number of Coronavirus Positive Patients in Canton Sarajevo

In Sarajevo Canton, 37 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed, of which 28 or 75.67 percent belong to family clusters and are in self-isolation from before, the Canton Sarajevo Public Health Institute announced on Tuesday morning.

These are the results of testing 339 samples collected from 14 to 17 August this year, which were analyzed in the past 24 hours.

In the same period, the recovery of 131 people was recorded, which is currently the number of active cases of coronavirus infection 824, which still maintains a significant downward trend in this number.

There are 49 people in the Isolation of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, while two patients use the support of a respirator when breathing.

Five people were discharged from this hospital treatment yesterday.

In the past 24 hours, unfortunately, three people have died as a result of the infectious disease COVID-19.

According to the data of the Institute, in the Sarajevo Canton, since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, infection with this virus has been recorded in 3,449 people, while a total of 2,563 people have recovered.
