A Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an Indictment against Mica Cvjetojevic, born in 1968 in Bosanski Novi, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This accused person is charged with the commission of the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods, referred to in Article 214, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which he committed on 20 April 2019, when he was driving a cargo motor vehicle with a trailer and attempting to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina at the International Border Crossing of Bosanski Brod while avoiding measures of customs control and customs clearance, with the aim of importing commercial goods of a higher value into Bosnia and Herzegovina through the customs line, including expensive technical goods and cosmetics of well-known world brands.

The aforementioned goods, estimated in the value of 135,070 BAM, which were not declared for import, were discovered by customs officers during the control, and the unpaid legal fees and duties caused the damage to the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the amount of 38,765.09 BAM.

The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
