Israel and Indonesia have been engaged in negotiations over the past three months to normalize relations between the two nations.
Furthermore, it was claimed that in exchange for establishing relations with Israel, Israel would cease blocking Indonesia from joining the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), an economic organization currently comprising 38 leading global economies.
Moreover, it was stated that the OECD has also been involved in the discussions.
An Israeli official later confirmed this to the Israeli media.
Israel has allegedly been working on normalizing relations with Indonesia, along with Saudi Arabia and other countries, prior to the outbreak of war with Hamas on October 7th, which largely delayed such plans.
