Insurance Market in FBiH Registered a Growth of 2.4 Percent

The total premiums of insurance companies in the FBiH from last year registered a growth of 2.4 percent in comparison to the same period from the previous year.

According to the FBiH Insurance Supervision Agency, insurance companies had a total premium of 365.4 million KM in 2012, in comparison to 356.7 million KM in the same period from the previous year. Non-life insurance premiums totaled 290.08 million KM and are an increase of around 1.3 percent, while the premium for life insurance totaled 74.6 million KM and is an increase of 6.9 percent.

Compared to the first nine months of last year, insurance companies headquartered in the RS increased the total premium for around 20.5 percent, from 11.3 to 13.7 million KM.
