Turkish Ambassador Yildiz: We Support Progress in BiH

The Ambassador of Turkey to BiH Ahmet Yildiz believes that the entry of BiH in NATO and EU is the only right path, reminding that Turkey supports our country in this direction.

“When I arrived in BiH at the first session of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC), I saw pessimism among the citizens, which was inconceivable to me because I had come there from diplomatic posts in Mosula in Iraq. Even if they criticize or accuse us of bias towards one BiH entity, one people or political party, we think that we are right because we support the development and progress of the state of BiH’’, said Ambassador Yildiz and added that he continues to be optimistic when it comes to BiH.

He added that funds are allocated from the state budget of Turkey to help BiH incomparably more than in other countries, among which are states in the Middle East.

He confirmed that the trilateral meeting of the leaders of Serbia, BiH and Turkey will be held in the first half of the year, and that all three sides expressed their willingness to attend the meeting.
