Seid Macic, a man from Konjic, a city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, loved nature and the mountains as a boy, and as he grew older, his desire for new spaces grew. Hiking became his lifestyle. He is a member of the mountaineering societies Borasnica from Konjic and Zeljeznicar from Sarajevo.

Macic has successfully completed the very challenging mountaineering challenge “2.000+” these days, that is, he managed to climb 78 mountain peaks in BiH higher than 2.000 meters above sea level.

“At the urging of my friend Kenan Macic, I decided to accept the challenge. It all started in May this year, when I climbed to the top of Osobac on Prenj Mountain. This is my favorite climbing peak, and then others have followed,”says Macic.

He added that he won the last but also the most demanding peaks at Volujk in the beautiful setting of Sutjeska National Park.

It only took four months for Seid to conquer all 78 peaks in 12 BiH mountains, or 18 days of active hiking. He says it was very difficult because it took a lot of preparation and organization.

“Despite the fatigue, the lack of sleep and other difficulties, every new peak I would climb on brought pleasure and relief,”Macic says for Dnevni Avaz newspapers.
