british_councilThe British Council, in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of B&H, is organizing an international conference in Sarajevo on 21 and 22 January on the European Qualification Framework and experiences of Western Balkan countries.

The European qualification framework is an instrument of a regulation system of qualifications in one country, which ensures clarity, reliable acquisition, progression and quality of qualifications, as well as linking the level of qualifications in B&H with the level of qualifications of the European Qualification Framework of the European Higher Education.

The main objectives are to ensure the conditions for quality education and teaching in conformity with the needs of economic development and the labor market, and the ease of recognition of foreign qualifications in B&H and vice versa.

During the conference, representatives of relevant institutions in B&H and Western Balkn countries will have the chance to be informed about the basic principles of the European Qualification Framework and its social significance in relation to education and employment.
