Members of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) prevented the smuggling of 14 people originating from Egypt.
SIPA spokesperson Luka Miladinovic told Srna news agency that two passenger vehicles, several mobile phones and other items that would serve as a further criminal procedure were temporarily seized.
He added that they were currently being arrested at SIPA’s premises and that they were under criminal investigation.
A report on the criminal offense of smuggling of persons will be filed against the suspects against the competent Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
Miladinovic pointed out that exceptional operational cooperation with the officers of the Intelligence-Security Agency and the Department for Foreign Affairs was made.
They could not say anything about the identity of those arrested.
