Iran evacuated the three nuclear facilities it attacked some time before the bombing, Hassan Abedini, deputy director of the media outlet, told Iranian state television.
The US bombed Iran’s Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear facilities, US President Donald Trump reported earlier, boasting that the facilities were “completely destroyed”.
“The enriched uranium stockpiles were previously moved from the nuclear centers and there were no raw materials left there that, in the event of an attack, could cause radiation and be harmful to our compatriots,” Reuters reported Abedini as saying on Iranian television.
Iran’s nuclear watchdog reported that there were no traces of contamination around the hit facilities and that there was no danger to residents of the surrounding areas, Reuters reports.
