Iran: The Future of Syria is solely the Responsibility of its People

The Iranian authorities have stated that the future of Syria should be determined solely by the people of that country, free from destructive interventions or external impositions.

In a statement issued by Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the ousting of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria, Iran affirmed its respect for Syria’s unity, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

“The future of Syria is solely the responsibility of its people, without any destructive intervention or external imposition,” the statement read.

Tehran emphasized that achieving this goal requires initiating national dialogues involving all segments of Syrian society, with the aim of ending military conflicts as quickly as possible, preventing terrorist acts, and establishing an inclusive government that represents the entire Syrian population.

The statement also noted that the relationship between Damascus and Tehran has a long history and has always been friendly, with Iran expressing hope that these ties will continue based on the shared interests of the two nations and the fulfillment of international objectives.

“Iran will make every effort to establish security and stability in Syria, and we continue consultations with all influential parties to that end,” Iranian authorities stated.
