Irfan Cengic declared a convincing Victory in Stari Grad

The current mayor of Stari Grad Municipality Irfan Čengić declared victory against his opponent Dženan Selimbegović (SDA).

“Thank you people for the trust and another convincing victory. With the will of the people, I continue to serve Stari Grad. We ran a clean, positive campaign, a campaign about the future, about Stari Grad, about us, and not about others. In the campaign, I talked about what was done and plans for the next four years, which we are starting to realize from tomorrow,” he said.

Čengić said that he proved that one can win only with work and contact with people.

“I did not have a single interview, guest appearance, statement, debate, podcast, reaction or appearance in the media. Thank you to all the candidates, volunteers and activists for their support in the campaign. Thank you to the people of Stari Grad who went to the polls 4 times in 2 years.”

He says he did not talk about opponents because, he says, they are not worth mentioning.

“Once again they showed that they are bad politicians and even worse people, which the people of Stari Grad recognized. As the strongest party in the country, they were defeated for the third time in a row in Stari Grad, and this should be a message to the leadership of that party. Tomorrow is a new working day day, we continue to work responsibly and people are our focus.”, Klix.ba writes.
