Islamic Community in B&H provided Funds for the construction of Parents’ House

parents houseThe Director of the Waqf Directorate Senajid Zajimovic will sign the Contract on the appointment of the donation amounting to 115.248 BAM to the Association “Srce za djecu koja boluju od raka u Federaciji Bosne i Hercegovine”, for the completion of the construction of the parents’ house, today in Sarajevo. The money was donated by the humanitarian organization Al-Najat from Kuwait.

It is stated in the announcement from the Association that the Islamic Community in B&H, through the Waqf Directorate, handed over the donations amounting to 546.248 BAM until now. The means were donated by the organizations Al-Najat, International Islamic Charitable Kuwajt, the General Secretariat for Waqfs of the State of Kuwait, Al-Kawser, and the people of Kuwait.

The Association is grateful to the Islamic Community in B&H and the Waqf Direcorate headed by the Reis ul-Ulema Husein ef. Kavazovic and the former Reis ul-Ulema Mustafa Ceric.

“Merits and gratitude belong to the donor humanitarian organizations from Kuwait, the Embassy of Kuwait in B&H, and the people of Kuwait led by the Emir of the State of Kuwait, for the humanity shown for our project, and all other projects implemented by Kuwait in our country. At this moment, these funds will enable us to complete the works on the facility, which are to be completed b the end of this year”, it was stated from the Association, and pointed out that the date of the opening of the facility will be subsequently released.

The Association also thanks the University Clinical Center Sarajevo for the allocated land, and the institutions, companies, and the citizens of B&H for donations.

The parents’ house is intended for the accommodation of children suffering from cancer and their parents who are coming outside of the Sarajevo Canton. It will cover the area of 666 square meters, and will have a basement, ground floor, and three floors; it will have ten apartments, a multifunctional space with a playroom and a living room, joint kitchen and dining room, a multifunctional hall, and the Association’s premises.

Total value of the project is 1.200.000 BAM. Interior mechanical and craft works are being conducted currently.

The signing of the contract on the delivery of the donation amounting to 115.248 BAM to the Association “Srce za djecu koja boluju od raka u FBiH” for the completion of the construction of the parents’ house was announced for October 9th at 11 a.m. at the construction site of the parents’ house within the Pediatric Clinic of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo.
