The Syrian Ministry of Defense reported yesterday that Israel “launched aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan”, targeting a Syrian military location near the village of Kfir Yabous in Damascus province.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Defense said that an Israeli attack targeting Kfir Yabous at around 1:35 am on Friday resulted in the death of five soldiers and the wounding of another.
They remind that on September 9th, 18 civilians were killed and dozens were wounded as a result of an Israeli attack that targeted the vicinity of the town of Masyaf in the western part of Hama.
“With the repeated occupation attacks on its lands, Syria confirms that the aggressive Israeli policy threatens to set the region on fire and push it towards a comprehensive escalation that threatens regional and international peace and security, and emphasizes its commitment to support the resistance, of which it is an integral part,” the Syrian ministry said.
The Israeli attacks on Syria come in the wake of Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which have resulted in hundreds of civilian casualties and injuries.
