The Israeli army carried out an airstrike on the Al-Farouk mosque in the Nuseirat refugee camp, located in the central part of the Gaza Strip.

After the attack, thick black smoke could be seen above and around the mosque, and people fled in all directions into the surrounding streets.

The mosque was not completely demolished in the attack, but it suffered enormous damage and practically remained in ruins. The minaret, the tower next to the mosque, was also not demolished.

After the attack, people tried to save some objects from the ruins of the mosque, such as the holy book Quran and other religious books.

In the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7 last year, more than 44,170 people, mostly women and children, were killed, and more than 104,470 were wounded.

Israel is facing a charge of genocide at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) announced on Thursday that it has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant for war crimes in the Palestinian territories, including Gaza.
