The Israeli army announced that around 800 people were arrested during a military operation at al-Shifa hospital in Gaza, with 480 confirmed to be members of Hamas or Islamic Jihad. As the operation, initiated almost 8 days ago, continues, the infrastructure and weapons of several extremist organizations have been located, claims the Israeli army, Federalna writes.

There were dead and wounded in the raid carried out by the genocide-accused Israel army on the Al-Shifa medical complex in western Gaza.

Eyewitnesses stated that Israeli tanks and military vehicles, under intense fire, suddenly entered the western parts of Gaza City and surrounded the Al-Shifa hospital, where thousands of displaced, sick and injured people were. Israeli forces targeted parts of the hospital with grenades and drones.

Some of the displaced people managed to leave the medical complex before the raid, and Israeli forces targeted the hospital and opened fire, causing the deaths and injuries of displaced Palestinians.

The Israeli army announced that it had launched an operation on the Al-Shifa hospital in the west of Gaza City.

Israeli state television KAN news, citing Israeli military sources, stated that “the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza was raided following intelligence that it was being used by Hamas officials.”

“Israeli forces were exposed to fire from the health complex (Al-Shifa Hospital, op.a.) and responded in kind, injuring two people,” it said.

Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee claimed that Israeli soldiers and forces from the Shabak (Shin-Bet) internal intelligence unit were “working to prevent terrorist activities and capture the attackers” at Al-Shifa hospital, Anadolu Agency writes.
