The Israeli military ordered an evacuation of the central Gaza Strip today ahead of an offensive in the area.
“This is a warning ahead of an offensive,” an Israeli military spokesman said on the X network.
The warning applies to four apartment blocks in the urban Bureij refugee camp, from where, according to Israeli claims, Palestinian extremists have been firing at Israel.
Residents are being urged to take shelter in a “humanitarian zone” in the Muwasi area.
Israeli media have frequently reported evacuation orders in various parts of the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of the war last year, displacing more than 90 percent of the population.
