Antalyaspor’s Israeli footballer Sagiv Jehezkel supported Israel’s attacks on Palestine by celebrating a goal in the game against Trabzonspor.
Antalyaspor drew 1:1 with Trabzonspor in the 20th round of the Super League, and the center of attention was the Israeli footballer Sagiv Jehezkel, who celebrated the goal in a scandalous way.
Referring to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Ehezkel wrote signs on his bandage symbolizing the date Israel’s attack began, October 7, the 100th day, and the Israeli flag, and pointed them toward the camera.
Antalyaspor also addressed the scandal by announcing that Jehezkel had been kicked out of the team.
“Today it was decided that Sagiv Jehezkel, who acted against the national values of our country by sharing the inscription on his wrist after scoring a goal in the 68th minute of the game we played against Trabzonspor, will be excluded from the team by the decision of the board of directors. Our board of directors will never allow behavior against the values of our country, even if it results in victory,” Antalyaspor said.
After Yehezkel’s celebration, Turkish fans raised their voices with the message that such behavior is unacceptable and demanded that the Israeli player be deported from Turkey.
