The Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, Žarko Laketa, confirmed that the passports of Israeli tourists in Sarajevo were thrown into the trash, and that work is underway to resolve the problem.

Laketa told BHRT that there were 50 tourists involved, and that it all happened by accident.

As confirmed by the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, tourists from Israel could leave for their homes tomorrow, as work is being done to resolve the problem quickly.

The Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs of BiH added that the hotel provided all the necessary conditions for the additional stay of tourists who arrived in Sarajevo by charter flight.

Let us recall that, according to the Israeli portal Ynet, the passports of 47 Israeli tourists were mistakenly thrown into a trash can at the reception of a Sarajevo hotel, after which they ended up in a landfill.
