ITA BiH collected 289 million BAM more than last Year

The Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) BiH collected 3.29 billion BAM of indirect tax revenues in the first half of this year, which is by 289 million BAM more in comparison to the same period last year.

Taxpayers realized the right to VAT refund in the amount of 662 million BAM in the first six months of this year, and thus the net collected funds for distribution to customers amounted to a total of 2.91 billion BAM or 251 million BAM more than in the same period last year.

Payments of VAT refunds to tax payers were increased by 51.8 million BAM in the first half of the year, while payments on the basis of international projects were decreased by 14.7 million BAM.

The collection of tolls was realized in accordance with expectations in the first half of the year.

The collection of excise revenue in the first half of this year underwent some strong oscillations, and its monthly range of growth rate went from negative 11 % to positive 21 %.

Unlike months of January and April, when achieved revenue growth amounted to a total of 16 % and 17 %, revenues collected in the month of June were higher by only 0.2 % in comparison to the same month last year.

The total collection of excise taxes on the group of products that includes beer, alcohol, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in the first half of the year was at the same level as last year.
