“As of today, the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ITA BiH) has collected 8.372 billion BAM on a single account, which is 1.143 billion BAM more than last year, ” it was announced from this institution, which marked 18 years of existence in Banja Luka yesterday.

Director of the ITA BiH, Miro Dzakula stated that for the first time since the establishment of this service, more than eight billion BAM were collected.

He mentioned that slightly more than 8.4 billion BAM will be collected and distributed by the end of this year.

“All levels of government are functioning properly, thanks to revenues collected by the ITA. All surplus revenues have been distributed to the entities and the Brcko District, while BiHinstitutions have received the same money as in previous years,” said Dzakula who claims that the ITA is “the best institution in BiH“.

At the ceremony marking the 18th anniversary of the ITA, the head of the Bijeljina Customs Office, Nedzad Secic, was named worker of the year, while Dijana Sikima on behalf of the European Union (EU) Delegation to BiH received the award for special assistance and contribution to the development of the Administration this year.

The ITA BiH has proven to be a key institution for fiscal stability at all levels of government in BiH, according to a statement from this administration.
