The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina(BiH), Zeljko Komsic, announced that criminal charges would be filed against those responsible, after the text of the Law on Medicines and Medical Devices of the Republika Srpska (RS) was published in the Official Gazette of RS, Radio Free Europe (RSE) reports.

“Obviously, the RS authorities do not care about any warnings from the international community. Now, more than ever, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH is on the move. If this continues, the same will happen tomorrow with the Armed Forces (AF) of BiH, the judiciary, and when that happens, then force will have to be used. Failure to respond will mean that everyone hasagreed to what they call peaceful dissolution,” Komsic told.

The decree on the promulgation of the Law on Medicines and Medical Devices of the RS was published in the “Official Gazette of the RS” on Tuesday, December 28th, and five days earlier, on December 23rd, it was signed by the President of RS,Zeljka Cvijanovic. This law will enter into force in six months.

In October this year, the National Assembly of the RS passed the Law on Medicines and Medical Devices. After that, on November 1st, the caucus of the Bosniak people in the Council of Peoples of the RS passed the Decision on initiating the procedure of protection of the vital national interest of the Bosniak people in the mentioned law, and on November 8th explained that decision.
