Significant Increase in Number of Tourists’ Arrivals in BiH

The total number of tourist arrivals in the Federation of BiH in November 2021 was 44,681, which is 148.4 percent more than in November 2020, and compared to October 2021 is lower by 31.9 percent. The share of domestic tourists was 44 percent, and foreign tourists 56 percent, Fena news agency writes.

The total number of tourists’ overnight stays in November 2021 in the FBiH was 93,842, which is 153.5 percent more than in November 2020, and 31.1 percent less than in October 2021. The share of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays was 38.4 percent, and foreign tourists 61.6 percent.

According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was realized within the type Hotels and similar accommodation with a share of 96 percent, according to the Federal Bureau of Statistics.

In terms of overnight stays of foreign tourists, the highest number of overnight stays in November was realized by tourists from Croatia (13.7 percent), Serbia (9.8 percent), the United Arab Emirates (9.6 percent), Saudi Arabia (7.9 percent) and Turkey (7 , 8 percent) which is a total of 48.8 percent. Tourists from other countries accounted for 51.2 percent of overnight stays.

The number of available beds in November 2021 in the Federation of BiH was 24,103, which is 19.2 percent more than in November 2020.
