Eleventh ceremony of The Best Athletes of City of Mostar has been held in the premises of ‘Ero’ hotel in the organisation of Sports Alliance of City of Mostar.
The best sportswoman in senior category for 2012 is Ivana Mlakić, member of handball club ‘Zrinjski’, while the best sportsman is Soniboj Sabo, member of the aviation club Mostar.
Best athletes in the category of younger cadets are Matea Noah Medić and Sanin Zukić.
Best athletes in the cadet category are Andrea Begić- member of Taekwondo club ‘Cro Star’, and Petar Zadro, member of Judo club ‘Borsa’.
Best young teams are Handball club ‘Kosača’ and Table tennis club ‘Mostar’
Best athletes in the junior category are Amina Kajtaz and Dario Stojčić.
Special award for contribution to development and promotion of sport in 2012 went to Tamja Klepić, while Jovan Pavlović Bojadžić and Alexandar Rakowit won special awards for contribution and development of sports and international cooperation in 2012.
Best sports worker is Zdenko Klepić, president of University karate club ‘Neretva’ while the best coach is Željko Zadro, coach of Judo club ‘Borsa’
Special award was given to University karate club ‘Neretva’ for their second place at the European Championship of Regions.
The most successful women’s team is handball team ‘Zrinjski’ while the men’s team is table tennis club ‘Mostar.
