Ivanic paid an official Visit to Baku

mladen ivanicChairman of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanic paid an official visit to Baku, capital of Azerbaijan, where he attended the fifth “Global Baku Forum”.

At this occasion, Ivanic mentioned the upcoming Sarajevo Business Forum and the expected role of Azerbaijan.

“Azerbaijan is a country that will be the focus of this year’s Sarajevo Business Forum,” said Ivanic for AzerNews.

Chairman of the BiH Presidency, who is the biggest sponsor of the investment-business conference in the region, spoke about the strengthening of economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly emphasizing the possibility of transport infrastructure and the interest of Azerbaijan to join the construction of the motorway on Corridor 5C.

“Azerbaijan has shown interest in projects in the field of tourism, infrastructure, energy, especially hydropower, food and wood, followed by the pharmaceutical industry,” explained Ivanic.

Also, he added that there is interest in investment in oil refineries, terminals and pipeline in southeastern Europe.

“Moreover, there is announcement of the possible establishment of direct airline “, said Ivanic.

The focus of this year’s Sarajevo Business Forum 2017 will be the cooperation with India, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates and countries of Western Europe, especially Germany. SBF 2017 will be held in Sarajevo on 22nd  and 23rd  May this year, with the expected participation of more than 1,000 statesmen, businessmen, investors and guests.
