President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović said tonight after the session of the Main Board of that party that the National Assembly of Republika Srpska “entered the red zone” of what is punishable under the BiH Criminal Code and expects that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH should stop such activities in time.
He added that they had tasked SDA officials who, according to the Constitution, are authorized to initiate proceedings to stop everything that is being tried to be done in the NARS.
Izetbegović also called on NATO, EUFOR and ALTEA to increase their presence in BiH in accordance with their mandates, especially in a sensitive area such as the Brčko District. He also called on all pro-Bosnian bloc parties to unite and co-ordinate jointly in countering the attacks.
“For now, we do not have the right answer from their side, but it is not the time to collect some cheap political points, but only a joint appearance,” said Izetbegović.
He added that they are ready to respond to the call of the OHR when it comes to the law on state property and participate in the work of the future commission, but pointed out that state property is part of sovereignty and that everything must end within the BiH Constitutional Court ruling.
Speaking about the possible adoption of a law banning genocide denial and rewarding war criminals, Izetbegović said they are ready to work, but expected solutions from RS lawmakers.
Izetbegović claims that without an international mediator, political parties will not be able to bring their views closer.
“With their pressure and encouragement, we will eventually get closer. We have to go through some phases with the international community and they have to see how the president of the SNSD Milorad Dodik and everyone else in BiH works, but the SDA will never be part of the problem,” said Izetbegović.
