Izetbegovic in Mostar Meeting visoko.co.baThe meeting of the delegations of HDZ B&H and SDA at which numerous issues were discussed was held yesterday in the House of HDZ B&H in Mostar.

After the yesterday’s meeting with the delegation of HDZ, the President of SDA Bakir Izetbegovic said that the cooperation of the two parties is good, but that it could be better.

“I can say that things are going well in the Presidency of B&H. The Council of Ministers has put B&H into motion after a perennial standstill on its European path, but more intense communication is necessary, better coordination which would result in accelerated proposal and adoption of laws on the state level. Regarding the FB&H, we must finally stabilize the parliamentary majority. All the meeting that Mr. Covic and I had held with different potential partners are in mutual agreement, there was nothing that the two of us have not discussed and agreed”, said Izetbegovic.

Izetbegovic said that there is a place in the coalition for all those who want to accelerate the reform processes and speed up the Euro-Atlantic path of B&H.

“We have not agreed upon nothing concrete about that, but the discussions will continue. When it comes to the FB&H, we consider that this is one determined Government that achieves results even under such circumstances, resolves all open issues, it defined the reform agenda, launched its implementation”, said Izetbegovic.

“Besides the problems we have, the vital indicators show that things are improving in the FB&H. when it comes to employment, we have over 6.000 employees more than in September last year. Similar situation is with the gross national profit with export, import and industrial production, we record a slight increase and stabilization”, Izetbegovic added.

The parties welcomed the establishment of an interdepartmental working group for the amendments to the Electoral Law.

“Within that, a resolution for Mostar must be reached until next local elections. The decision of the Constitutional Court of B&H within the regulations of the Dayton Agreement must be implemented. Moreover, it was agreed to end the procedure of signing the contract of B&H with the Islamic Community. We have such contracts with the Orthodox and Catholic Church. We will soon adopt a Law on Religious Holidays; it is already prepared”, said Izetbegovic.

At yesterday’s meeting, the parties supported the attitude of the International monitoring team to process the data from the population census in accordance with the International statistical standards, and to publish the results of the census urgently.
