Jasminko Halilovic on the Forbes List!

The founder and director of the War Childhood Museum, Jasminko Halilovic found out yesterday that he was listed on the Forbes list of 30 most influential people under 30 in the field of law and politics.

Although he was secretly hoping to be among the most influential young people in the world, the information from yesterday brought him great surprise and satisfaction.

“Few months ago they contacted me from Forbes and I knew I was on some list of nominees, and that I was one of the finalists, but until recently I did not know I would really be on it. I just found out when the list was published, and when I saw my photo, “ Halilovic emphasized.

He explains that this is the Forbes traditional annual list of young leaders up to 30 years of age.

“It is a list published in several categories in the U.S., Europe and Asia. And as far as I know, or as they told me, it was the first time that someone from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) was nominated. This nomination is even rare in the region. A few years ago, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic was named, and then Croatian Mate Rimac, an entrepreneur who founded Rimac cars, “ said Halilovic.

That is why he is even more honored, because he is in some way a BiH representative.

“I am honored for several reasons, firstly because I am the first Bosnian on this list, and secondly because it was a recognition of the War Childhood Museum. This is the proof that cultural projects, such as museums can be extremely relevant at such level, “ said the director of the War Childhood Museum.

He added that he was satisfied with the work of this museum so far, and with the visitations which are more frequent as time passes.

“The Council of Europe Museum Prize we got has also contributed to this, we are happy with our activities, and there are many of them which are not so obvious to the public, but they take us a lot of time, “ Halilovic concluded.
