Job for 500 People in Cazin

Cazin1 (1)Cazin always had a significant number of small and medium sized businesses that employed a large number of people in its facilities.

It is precisely here that the municipal government recognized the potential for the renewal and strengthening of the economcy.

“In the last nine years the municipal government worked on the construction of infrastructure as one of the important conditions for the economic development of this area. Thus, until now in this municipality more than 100 projects have been realized that include 200 kilometers of road networks and the completion of a water supply system. There have also been schools, playgrounds, and public lighting built’’, said the Mayor of the municipality Nermin Ogrešević.

The interest in opening manufacturing plants in Cazin was confirmed by Radio-Television Una-Sana Canton in the administration “Akova Grupe”, which brings together the work of three huge companies, including the meat industry “Ovako” and “Brovis”.

The company announced that they are interested in a poultry slaughterhouse in Pjanići, which could employ around 500 people.

The economic development of Cazin and the entire Una-Sana Canton in large measure depends on the future status of the border crossing Izačić.

If it is agreed with Croatia that the border crossing at Izačić is defined so it remains one of the small number of border crossings for goods, many local and foreign investors could show an interest in investing in this part of BIH.
