US President Joe Biden said he does not support Israel’s retaliatory strike on Iran’s nuclear program.

“The answer is no,” Biden told reporters when asked if he supported such a perspective.

Reporter: “Would you support an attack on Iran’s nuclear sites by Israel?”

President Biden: “The answer is no. … [G7] agree that they have a right to respond, but they should respond proportionally.”

Biden stated that Israel has the right to respond to yesterday’s Iranian missile attack, but that it should be done proportionately.

He said America would also impose new sanctions on Iran over the attack.

US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said yesterday that Iran would face “severe consequences” and that the US would work with Israel to secure as much as possible, without elaborating.
