In Kalesija on Tuesday, November 18th, a peaceful walk was held in memory of Aldina Jahic, whose murder shook the public and once again opened the question of systemic protection of women from violence.

Citizens gathered on the plateau in front of the Bosnian Cultural Center “Alija Izetbegovic”.

Those gathered said that it is necessary for institutions to act more urgently and efficiently, and that violence against women and femicide must be treated as a priority security and social issue.

The organizers state that the goal of the gathering was to express support for the family and to remind that femicide is not an isolated case, but a serious and growing problem in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

In Kalesija, Wednesday, November 19th, 2025, was declared a Day of Mourning in the entire municipality due to the funeral of Aldina Jahic from Miljanovci, who was murdered on Sunday in Mostar, where she was employed.
