Kate Middleton is concerned about the Future of her Son George

Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton are facing one of the most important decisions a parent can make: choosing a secondary school for their eldest son, Prince George. This is particularly challenging for Kate, as she has a different vision for her son’s future compared to the traditional royal path.

Prince William wants their 11-year-old son to attend the prestigious Eton College, an all-boys boarding school that both he and his brother Harry attended. On the other hand, Kate prefers a co-educational school like Marlborough College, where she studied from 1996 to 2000.

According to sources close to the royal family, Kate feels Eton is too “stuffy” for George and worries that such an environment may not suit his personality. Her wish is for George to attend a mixed school where he could be with his siblings, just as she was with her sister Pippa and brother James during her school years.

George currently attends Lambrook, a preparatory school, alongside his sister Charlotte (9) and brother Louis (6). The school provides a stable environment and a sense of normalcy, which proved particularly important during a period when Kate was undergoing treatment. The children enjoy regular school activities, with George actively participating in football with friends. The school offers excellent infrastructure and support, allowing them to experience a relatively normal childhood despite their privileged status.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl highlights the possibility of breaking with tradition. She points out that neither William nor Harry followed in their father’s footsteps by attending Gordonstoun in Scotland, demonstrating that the royal family can adapt longstanding patterns.

Interestingly, George himself is reportedly keen on attending Eton, which further complicates the situation for his mother. Palace insiders claim that Kate is “heartbroken” over this, even though she understands her son’s desire to follow his father’s path.

The final decision about George’s schooling will be made jointly, considering the young prince’s best interests. This situation is just one of many challenges the modern royal family faces as they navigate the balance between traditional and contemporary parenting approaches.

Regardless of the ultimate choice, it is clear that William and Kate will prioritize their son’s well-being, continuing their parenting style that blends respect for royal tradition with modern educational values.
