The demining battalion of the BiH Armed Forces was issued 54 protective vests, 300 visors, 3.000 pieces of batteries for detectors and seven certified mine detection dogs.
This funding for demining represents additional support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway as part of the plan for strengthening the capacity of the Norwegian People’s Aid to the demining battalion of the BiH Armed Forces.
Additional protective equipment and resources that are necessary for the smooth operation of demining battalion of the BiH Armed Forces would enable the full engagement of demining teams, and increase their productivity.
The ceremony of handing over this equipment took place in Vogošća near Sarajevo, and was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to BiH Vibeke Lilloe and the BiH Minister of Defense Zekerijah Osmić with representatives of the Operative Command of the BiH Armed Forces, and representatives of EUFOR.
