Atalanta players beat Bayer Leverkusen in the final of the European League with a score of 3:0, and our Sead Kolasinac won the first major trophy in his career, who surprised the German journalist after the game with a question he asked.

The popular Seo played an outstanding first half, but at the start of the second half he had to leave the field after getting injured.

However, Atalanta deservedly celebrated and our player was decorated with a valuable trophy. After the match, he spoke to the German media, and then suddenly asked a journalist a question: “What happened yesterday 27 years ago?”.

The journalist answered that 27 years ago, Schalke won the then UEFA Cup by defeating Inter after a penalty, and the Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) representative confirmed that it was the correct answer.

After that, the journalist’s counter-question followed:

“Did you actually think about Schalke’s victory in the UEFA Cup before perhaps the most important game in your career?”, and Kolasinac said:

“Yes, I was thinking about it yesterday as well. That’s why I’m incredibly proud that I managed to lift this trophy today,” Kolasinac admitted yesterday and that it inspired him as a big fan of Schalke.

Kolasinac started playing football in Karlsruhe at a youth leveland then moved to Schalke, where he became a professional football player. Great games in the German club earned him a transfer to Arsenal, and then he returned to Schalke.

He also played for the former European champion Marseille, before moving to Atalanta before the start of this season, and it turned out to be an extraordinary move.

In his career so far, he has won the FA Cup with Arsenal and two English Super Cups, and the European League trophy with Atalanta is certainly the crowning glory of his career so far, Klix.ba reports.
