Zeljko Komsic, the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of April 15th, the Day of the Army of the Republic of BiH.
“I show my most sincere congratulations to all members of the Army of the Republic of BiH on the occasion of the Day of the Army of the Republic of BiH, with words of gratitude for everything they did while defending our only homeland, the state of BiH,” as was noted in the congratulatory message.
It is stressed that the state of BiH was not defended by politicians or foreign diplomats, but that the greatest credit for the existence of the state of BiH goes to the ordinary fighters who did their best in impossible conditions to preserve its survival.
“Fighters of the Army of the Republic of BiH, without any international military support, even though our country was also a member of the United Nations (UN) back then, fought against aggressors and domestic criminals for three years, just to gain the right to have their political representatives get the opportunity to sit at the table to negotiate peace and preserve the state within its historical borders, ” Komsic pointed out.
“We have achieved the greatest accomplishments by ourselves, and the sacrifice we have made for this country is only ours and no one else’s. We owe peace and the state, not ideal but ours, only to those who are not with us today, our comrades-in-arms, brothers, friends, and neighbors,” emphasized the member of the Presidency, and added that the survival and future of the state primarily depend on ourselves and on how much we are willing to defend it from those who do not want it, without any calculations, and with any possible available means.
“I am convinced that we will continue to do so in a peaceful way, which is as civilized just as the struggle of the Army of the Republic of BiH was a civilizational resistance to evil and barbarism,” it was said in the end, Klix.ba writes.
