Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić commented about the decision of the European Council to give the green light for the opening of negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Today’s decision of the European Commission to open EU negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina is excellent news for our country. Thank you to the European Commission and the member states of the European Union for recognizing the importance of the moment for Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Western Balkans and Europe,” said Komšić.

He added that they are aware that we have a huge job ahead of us and that as things stand, there will be no more concessions and hiding behind the current geopolitical situation on the European continent.
“In any case, this is an important moment for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s path towards the European Union,” said Komšić, Klix.ba reports.
