Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Zlatko Lagumdžija received today the Assistant of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Ambassador Ali Fahad Al-Hajriji, who led the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar during the first bilateral political consultations of MFA of B&H and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Qatar, which are being held today in Sarajevo.
On this occasion, the Deputy Minister Al-Hajri expressed his expectation and interest in the continuation of the agreements reached during the visit of the senior delegation from B&H and B&H businessmen in Qatar, led by Lagumdžija.
Lagumdžija welcomed the interest of the State of Qatar to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Referring to the recent visit and the meetings that he had with senior officials of the State of Qatar Lagumdžija said that the visit, as well as bilateral consultations between the two countries, is the result of the intense cooperation between B&H and Qatar.
During the conversation, there was also discussed the establishment of a direct plane line between Qatar and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Lagumdžija informed his interlocutor with investment opportunities in the tourism sector, infrastructure and energy, with the goal of improving economic cooperation between the two countries.
