Large Profits from Tolls achieved this Month

motorwayTraffic and revenue on the A1 motorway increased by 20 % in August compared to the same period last year, while the increase in revenues from tolls was increased by 15 %.

An increase in sales of ACC TAG devices was also recorded for 71.47 % compared to last year.

Statistics show that the busiest section is the section Sarajevo North – Zenica South with 762,446 vehicles, which is followed by Sarajevo West – Tarcin with 291,576 vehicles and Medjugorje – Ljubuski with 115,031 vehicles.

In August this year, the toll was charged in the amount of 4,144,015.97 BAM with VAT and a trend of growth is visible in comparison with the previous month by 8.92 %, as well as for the same period last year by 14.85 %.

The section Sarajevo North – Zenica South realized the biggest earnings from toll in August in the amount of 3,253,071.42 BAM including VAT, which represents an increase of 10.86 % in comparison to the same period last year (2,934,488.34 BAM).

Visible growth trend in revenues from toll collection was recorded on the section Sarajevo West –Tarcin with 707,711.36 BAM including VAT, which represents an increase of 8.89 % compared to the revenue realized in the previous month (649,952.62 BAM), while in comparison with the same period last year, it increased by 34.60 % (525,792.61 BAM).

The section Medjugorje – Ljubuski also records better figures, where the revenue from toll collection amounts to 183,233.19 BAM including VAT, which an increase of 31.50 % compared to the revenue achieved in the previous month (139,343.69 BAM), i.e. an increase of 23, 99 % (147,775.77 BAM) compared to last year.

Toll revenue is used for management and maintenance of the existing motorway and the preparation of new projects, as said from the Public Highways of FBiH.
