In the first quarter of this year, the RS had 51.984 visitors, or 6,7 percent more than in the same period of last year, according to Statistics Office of the RS.
Tourists made up 144.187 overnight stays, which is a 5,7 percent increase.
Of the total number of tourists, 28.720 were domestic guests that made up 72.191 overnight stays, and 23.264 foreign tourists made up 71.996 overnight stays.
The number of overnight stays of foreign tourists in the first quarter of this year increased by 12,4 percent, and domestic guests is less by 0,3 percent that in the same period of last year.
The most number of overnight stays of 55.778 was at mountain destinations, while 126.946 nights were in hotels.
