Pioneer valley in Sarajevo expects the transport of the lioness from the Zoo in Osijek by the end of February.
“The Vet Office in B&H issued the necessary permits and colleagues from Osijek have sent CITES permit for international trade of wild flora and fauna species and in the next few days we expect the export license from Croatia. We are in contact every day with colleagues from Osijek, and soon we will start the implementation”, said for Klix the manager of Pioneer Valley Esad Talić.
At the Zoo in Osijek it is expected that this transport would be implemented by the end of the month, because most of the documents are already collected.
“When everything is ready, the transport will depend on weather conditions, because it is not good to be cold during transportation”, said for Klix Jadranko Boras, Osijek Zoo Veterinarian.
Pioneer valley by the end of march last year received from Bulgaria a three year old lion and a seven years old lioness.
After the death of the lioness from Bulgaria in April last year, Pioneer valley established contacts with the Zoo in Osijek to get a new lioness.
Municipality Center in Sarajevo ensured funds in the amount of 13.000 BAM for the transport of the lioness.
