Pair of young lions from Bulgaria could arrive to Sarajevo Zoo ”Pionirska dolina” next week, and the only thing needed is that Serbia gives the transit permit for the animals.
Public Utility Company ”Park” said that all the papers are ready and the procedure for getting the transit permit from Serbia has started.
Expert associate of ”Park” Aldijana Hamza said that if Serbia gives the permit by the end of this week, lions could get to Sarajevo next week.
The similar situation is with two female wallabies from Slovenia, since they need an export permit from Slovenia, transit permit from Croatia and import permit from BiH.
Zoo ”Pionirska dolina” currently has 38 species, and soon there will be new ones.
Hamza said that next month Pionirska dolina will be enriched with three pairs of mara, four alpacas and one guanaco.
Hamza added that the she hopes that their arrival will bring joy to all animal fans, especially children.
