Macedonia would like the opportunity to expand cooperation in the economic, cultural and sport plan with Banja Luka and the RS, said at today’s meeting of the Ambassador of Macedonia to BiH Rami Redžepi with the Mayor of Banja Luka Slobodan Gavranović.

This was the first visit of the Ambassador since Gavranović became mayor. They exchanged ideas and spoke of cooperation between Macedonian and BiH cities.

Gavranović said that Banja Luka has friendly relations with Kunanov, and that the city has good cooperation with the Association of Macedonians from that city.

“We concluded that current cooperation was very successful, especially regarding cooperation of local communities. I am glad that the Ambassador will visit the RS Chamber of Commerce, where he will speak of the expansion of economic cooperation. There is a large space for cooperation in the field of economy, and we should use this opportunity’’, said Gavranović.

Rami Redžepi said that talks with the mayor of Banja Luka represents the continuation of cooperation of the Embassy of Macedonia with local communities.

He added that the Macedonian community in this city has institutional support, and that is the bridge that connects people and countries.
