Lithuania has imposed sanctions on the President of the RS, Milorad Dodik, the President of the RS National Assembly, Nenad Stevandic, and the Prime Minister of the Bosnian entity, Radovan Višković

The sanctions mean a ban on entry into the country until April 18, 2030. This was announced on the official website of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lithuania.

Earlier today, the Polish Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed that Poland had initiated a procedure to ban Dodik from entering and transiting through the country, and in early April, Germany and Austria banned Dodik from entering those countries, and in addition to him, the same measure was introduced for Stevandic and Višković.

Dodik has previously been under sanctions by the UK and the US, while Stevandić and Višković are on the US “blacklist”.

A central arrest warrant has been issued in Bosnia and Herzegovina for Dodik, Stevandić and Višković because they did not respond to a summons from the state prosecutor’s office, which charges them with attacking the constitutional order.

They are considered most responsible for the adoption of laws in the RS that prohibit some judicial institutions and the BiH Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) from operating on the territory of the RS.
