The Chairman of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PSVE), Saša Magazinović, met in Kiev (Ukraine) with the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk.

During the meeting, Magazinović confirmed his solidarity with the Ukrainian people, stressing that the aggression against Ukraine is not only a war against this country, but an attack on the whole of Europe.

Stefanchuk expressed his special gratitude to Bosnia and Herzegovina for their support so far, and pointed out that he hopes that both countries will make major strides on the European path in the coming period.

Magazinović also attended the briefing of the Military Intelligence Service of Ukraine, which was organized by the head of the Military Intelligence Service of Ukraine General Kyryl Budanov and his deputy Vadym Skibytsky for the representatives of the parliaments of the European Union (EU) countries and the heads of the delegations of the member states of the Council of Europe. This is the first time since the beginning of the Russian invasion that a delegation was received at the headquarters of this institution and informed about the situation on the battlefield and projections related to the next period.

Magazinović was received by the permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in Crimea, Tamila Tasheva, together with the other present heads of delegations. The head of the Crimean Platform, Maria Tomak, also attended the conversation. The interlocutors informed Magazinović about the preparations of the law for the period after the end of the occupation of Crimea.

In the conversation, considerable attention was paid to the violation of human rights of people living in the occupied territory, as well as pressures and judicial persecution of political dissidents, in which, as it was said, the expertise of the Council of Europe can be very useful.

Magazinović is visiting Ukraine on the occasion of marking the second anniversary of the Russian Federation’s full invasion of Ukraine. In addition to numerous meetings with representatives of the executive and legislative authorities, in the continuation of the visit, he will also attend a special session of the Parliament of Ukraine that is taking place on that occasion, announced the Public Relations Department of the PSBiH.
